My name is Ricardo Gomes, and i am an upcycling artist focused on creating useful art.

I use in my projects a range of materials, especially recycled ones, such as metal, wood, glass, etc.

I grew up in one of Lisbon's impoverished areas. since little ive been aware that what's rubbish to some can be of value to others.

I supposed it all started when i was 7 and decided to sculpt a small village on the natural clay wall that faced my house.

I am very influenced by nature and the fluidity of material shapes, the intention is to try and emulate natures apparent simplicity.
